About Me

It’s All About Me

Actually it’s just this page that’s all about me. The truth is life is all about others. Make other people feel special, because they are.

Who I Am

I’m probably one of the oddest people you will ever meet. New skills and talents have an allure about them that I can’t seem to break away from. Earlier in my life I studied engineering at a local university. It was during this period of my life that I realized the “ordinary” life wasn’t for me. I wasn’t cut out to work a 9-5 job in an industry I couldn’t care less about just to earn a paycheck. Life is too short to work 40 hours a week to fill another person’s pockets. I decided that I wanted to work for myself, and I assure you I use the word “work” loosely. If you are doing what you love it’s not really “work.” If you set the schedule yourself, it’s not really “work.” I’ve had my share of jobs that felt like cages, and have completely turned my back on that lifestyle. Society may think living like that is what it’s all about, but I don’t. It was probably this mindset that has caused me to run around like a maniac collecting skills.

Skills I Have Acquired

If I had to chose one skill that I truly identified with it would be acting. I’ve sunk many hours into learning how to act and am beyond passionate about it. Acting also led me to pick up my other two favourite skills; magic and comedy. Street and stage magic have become some of my most enjoyable past-times. Stand-up comedy doesn’t rank far behind either. Because of the time and money I have wasted on schooling, as well as working a bunch of different jobs, I consider myself informed in a lot of topics.

Skills In List Form

You could replace the word “skills” with “topics” and immediately know the topics I will be covering in my blogs.

  1. Acting
  2. Magic
  3. Comedy
  4. Bodybuilding (Physique)
  5. Photography
  6. Self Employment
  7. Gymnastics
  8. Coffee Expert (“Coffee Addict” is a more accurate term)
  9. Engineering
  10. Drywall Repair
  11. Soldering

Because Read N’ Butter is a place for following your dreams, maintaining childlike wonder, and refusing to fit in in this “adult world” I’m not going to teach you boring work skills. If that were the case we could spend time talking about doing taxes (yuck), but I don’t think that’s why you’re here.

The Benefits of Self-Employment

I’m going to share with you how to live a simpler life. Does that mean an easy life? No, but it is one with meaning. We are going to go through this struggle of living in a world surrounded by scary words like “business, taxes, work, and stock market.” Here we will try to change our mindsets with words like “fun, fulfilling, meaning, and adventure.”

At the end of the day I don’t want you or myself to be stuck in a job we hate. You have the ability to be your own boss and pursue what you dream. For me that dream is entertaining people. To help make that dream a little more possible I put content on the internet (still my own boss).

If you’re interested in affiliate marketing (I’m not talking about get rich quick schemes, but actual hard work to earn money) I highly suggest you check out Wealthy Affiliate. You don’t have to go premium if you don’t want to. They offer a lot of great information and support to the free accounts and have really helped me out along the way as well.

All the best everyone! Live the life you are called to.
